PluSport Day in Magglingen

The 62nd PluSport Day at the “End of the World” in Magglingen on July 9, 2023, was a great experience. Around 1700 people celebrated inclusion together with Federal Councillor and Minister of Sport, Viola Amherd. Motivation, fun, and ambition—whether at one of the numerous sports disciplines or in one of the workshops carried out by our partner associations from regular sports—the athletes were eager to take part in “their” National Disabled Sports Day. Great performances took place in summery temperatures.

Federal Councillor Viola Amherd enjoyed this day for the first time and was impressed by the performances and the great atmosphere of a day full of cordiality, fairness, and tolerance, resulting in a special sense of community.

Many young footballers took part and played in the PluSport football tournament, braving the heat on the artificial turf. Later in the afternoon, the tournament found a wonderful conclusion with the presentation of the special PluSport Day medal to each individual football player.
