PluSport football tournament in Wil

For the first time, a PluSport tournament was organised in collaboration with FC Wil 1950. A warm welcome to the eastern part of Switzerland was extended to 15 teams and 160 footballers. After a joint warm-up, the starting whistle sounded punctually at 10.00 am.

Exciting matches could be watched on two pitches. As always, respect and fair play took centre stage. The kids/junior teams played in a separate category, and the Ponte Kickers Zofingen and the Special Kickers Lucerne soon stood out as the clear favourites. Victory was ultimately decided in the knockout phase, and the Kickers from Zofingen took the winner’s trophy.

PluSport was particularly pleased to welcome the President of People’s Sport Foundation, Maria Eigenmann, and to give her an insight into PluSport’s tournament programme and let her experience the enthusiasm of the young footballers and their enjoyment of the game.

At the end, Mrs. Eigenmann gladly took on the task of presenting the winning teams with the coveted trophies and awards.
