PluSport Football Indoor Tournament on October 21, 2023

As the year draws to a close, the last PluSport football tournament in 2023 for kickers with a disability took place on October 21, 2023, in the GoEasy Freizeitarena in Siggenthal.

Saturday morning at 9.30 a.m., 35 children and teenagers gathered in the sports hall, full of anticipation and energy. A joint warm-up helped the last signs of tiredness to disappear, and everyone was now more than ready to start the tournament. The games were exciting and interesting to follow, as all the children showed impressive football skills and fought for victory with great ambition. It was a pleasure to notice the progress the young players made over the course of the year, despite their motoric impairments, in terms of footballing techniques. A special highlight of the tournament was the support of the spectators, parents, siblings, and friends who were present in large numbers and cheered the players on loudly.

Another highlight was the presentation of the trophies at the end of the tournament. Each child received recognition for their participation and achievements in the form of a small trophy. It was a moving moment as the children celebrated their successes. The winning team, Ponte Kickers Zofingen, received the big trophy for the category winner.

It was a day full of joy, community, and inspiration for everyone involved, and we look forward to continuing the tournament programme of PluSport next year.
