What a beautiful PluSport Day, despite the cool temperatures, fog, and drizzle!

Doing sport together, sharing a sense of achievement and emotions—this is what characterises the one and only PluSport Day year after year and fascinates all participants every time. Also, on Sunday, July 7, approximately 1,000 participating athletes celebrated their sport and joy on the 63rd PluSport Day in Magglingen, even though the weather was not exactly the best with 12 degrees.

Diversity, equality, and inclusion were the main mottos of the sports event. In addition to the inclusive sports offered by the 15 partner and regular sports associations, the PluSport football tournament was also part of the event’s sports programme. This time, 13 teams participated, including four children and youth teams. The match was played on artificial turf, the only PluSport tournament to take place on this surface, and on a smaller pitch.

The PluSport Day tournament is the highlight of the year for all footballers. They also receive the coveted PluSport Day medal as a reward for playing their sport. Another highlight was the visit of two FC Zurich-Women players, Chiara Bücher and Lourdes Romero. They found time for an autograph session and handed out lanyards for the women’s Euro 2025.
