Press Release Partnership People’s Sport Foundation and PluSport

The People’s Sport Foundation (PSF) and PluSport Disabled Sports Switzerland are continuing their collaboration in 2025. The PSF has been supporting PluSport’s football projects for children and young people since 2023.

The PSF is a private non-profit organisation that is committed to promoting sport for people with disabilities and shares PluSport’s vision:

«People with disabilities are an equal and self-determined part of our society. The sports, exercise and services offered by PluSport promote equality and make an important contribution to an inclusive society.»

The PSF states that «People with disabilities are equal members of our society, contributing their talents, perspectives, and strengths in every field. They have the right to make their own choices and lead self-determined lives, just like anyone else. An inclusive society values diversity and ensures that every person, regardless of ability, is treated with dignity and respect».

PSF and PluSport are working together to promote football programmes for children and young people with disabilities and, through their partnership, are helping to ensure participation and access to sport for all. Football is one of the most popular sports in the world and speaks a universal language that overcomes barriers, connects people and thus ensures greater inclusion in society.

The health and social benefits of regular exercise and sports activities are undisputed. Children and young people, regardless of their abilities, are currently active in football every week in 10 regional PluSport sports clubs. The teams take part in up to five PluSport football tournaments every year.  PluSport also offers football sports camps.

Thanks to the great commitment of the People’s Sport Foundation, PluSport can continue to run its popular football programmes. The Federation would like to express its sincere gratitude for this important and long-term support.  More information on the PluSport-Webseite
