Inclusive Spirit Soars: Düsseldorf’s Carnival Parade Welcomes All

On February 9, 2024, Dr. Olesya Zaglada visited the carnival parade in Südpark Düsseldorf, where around 200 people with and without disabilities took part. The event was organized by the Workshop for Adopted Labor.

Karnival in Düsseldorf is known as the fifth time of the year, full of fun, joy, and fantasy costumes. It was a perfect inclusive event where people with and without disabilities could enjoy the tradition.

The next day, February 10, 2024, Dr. Olesya Zaglada, together with her daughter, visited a special kids carnival where Düsseldorf schools, kindergartens, and child societies took part. It was also inclusive for kids with and without disabilities. For example, the state support center participated. Around 6,500 children and adults with and without disabilities took part in the event, which beat the record set last year.
